Description of the workplace

The position is placed at the division of history at the Department of History. The Department of History has around 90 employees at three different divisions: history, human rights studies and Centre for East and South East Asian studies. The division of history is located at LUX in central Lund with easy access to research libraries, IT support, the Humanities Lab, café, canteen etc. The division offers a lively research environment with many PhD students. The National Graduate School in Historical Studies is also based at the department.

Work duties and areas of responsibility 

The employment involves working with a major conference event in Helsingborg in the spring of 2023, and conducting research and writing research applications in the research area “historical working life research”. You will be part of a group responsible for planning and implementing the Forum for Labor Research (FALF) national conference in June 2023.

In addition to the activities within the framework of the Historical Labor Research project, teaching on the Department of History's labor history courses may occur.

The employment means that you will have extensive cooperation with other project employees. The main working language is Swedish/Scandinavian.Qualifications 

Qualifications 

Required qualifications for the position:

- You have completed a doctoral degree in a subject with a relevant humanistic or social science focus no more than five years before the end of the application period.

- You have conducted research in the field of labor market or working life research.

 - You are an active researcher applying for research grants.

- You have experience in organizing conferences, seminars and public events.

Specific qualifications of additional merit for the position:

- You have experience of cooperation with organizations outside the academy and above all with labor market organizations.

Further information

The employment is a temporary position for five months at 75% with a start date of 2023-01-01, but at the latest until 2023-06-16.
