Description of the workplace
The department of Food Technology, Engineering and Nutrition at LTH and Lund University conducts teaching, among other subjects, in food engineering, in several different educational programs. Lund University is a public authority which means that employees get several benefits.
Work duties
In your role as teaching assistant you will get support from the course director in planning the exercise sessions, help with answers to your questions as well as other support on both the content and pedagogical design of the teaching activities. You will, together with another teaching assistant, be responsible for leading eight exercise session in the course Food Engineering (KLGN20). The course is taught in English. The exercises treat different computational and theoretical aspects of food engineering, including freezing, microbial kinetics, mass- and energy transfer and uncertainty management analysis. You will also, as a part of your preparations for the teaching activities, need to solve the problems in the problem set used in the course.
Qualification requirements
Only those admitted to first or second-cycle courses and study programmes at the faculty may be employed as teaching assistants.

Terms of employment
This is a part-time, fixed-term employment, 13% in the period 2023-10-01 – 2023-12-31. The employment must not have adverse effects on the teaching assistant’s studies. The employment as a Teaching Assistant is regulated in the Higher Education Ordinance (SFS 2017:284), 5 chapter 8-12 §§
