Description of the workplace 

The position is located at the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, Lund University. The candidate will work within the ELLIIT gender program, which aims in improving diversity among ELLIIT member institutions, and also has other similar aims, like, for example to advertize the ELLIIT universities as attractive career possibilities workplace for female students and scientists.  See https://elliit.se/education-outreach/outreach/women-in-stem/
The candidate will work closely under the supervision of the ELLIIT gender program coordinator of Lund University, situated at the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, Lunds Universitet. A physical workplace, shared with other members of Mathematik LTH, will be provided, but duties can be performed, to a large extend, remotely.

Work duties 
You will work alongside the ELLIIT gender program team and help them to implement their projects. More precisely, your work duties will be on research and data collection on women in mathematics and computer science. You should carry out independently the design, technical implementation and analysis of a survey among women mathematicians, applied mathematicians and computational mathematicians. You will conduct a survey, communicate with stakeholders and help to write the project report.
 
Qualifications  

Required qualifications for the position are:

•    You have sound experience with gender equality work, documented for example through prior activities on gender equality as a project leader.
•    You have familiarity with the administration of project grants.
•    You have familiarity with the university environment in mathematics, for example documented through first cycle courses in mathematics.
•    You have sound IT skills, for example documented through university courses in computational programming.
•    You have a documented ability to work independently and to implement projects successfully, documented for example through experience in organization of events in the education sector.
•    You have high self-organization.
•    You have excellent communication skills in English (Level C1 or higher).

Additional qualifications for the position are:

•    It is an additional qualification that you have familiarity with the university environment in computer science, information technology, mobile communications or other ELLIIT topics, for example documented through first cycle courses in these fields.

The position is a part time (20%) employment for 6 months, with starting date 2023-06-15 or soon as possible by agreement.
