Subject description
Water Resources Engineering oriented towards Environmental Microbiology, with emphasis on studying interactions between microbes and their environments. This should be in the contexts of both water and earth/sediments with connections to ongoing research in the division of Water Resources Engineering, Department of Building and Environmental Technology addressing biogeochemical cycling, corrosion, microbiology of drinking water and wastewater processes, and the ecology of biofilms.

Description of the workplace
Research and teaching at the division of Water Resources Engineering, Department of Building and Environmental Technology, address how water exists and is transported in both natural and urban systems. The division has around 30 employees and 20 Ph.D. students. This position is within the Water Quality group, where research focusses on the production and quality of drinking water, source water quality and protection, and microbial ecology of water and sediment. As work in this group is closely connected to both municipalities, ministeries and Swedish industry, the ability to communicate in Swedish will support the work in this group. If you as an applicant are not currently able to communicate in Swedish, support and time will be provided for this education within this position.
