Description of the workplace
Neuroendocrine cell biology has a long-standing project on type 2 diabetes disease mechanisms in pancreatic islet cells. Our single cell RNA seq studies have generated new knowledge that needs to be functionally validated by targeting single genes in relevant model systems and by targeting all genes using a whole genome CRISPR screen. We have a nice and respectful working environment and continuously work on maintaining this atmosphere by sharing feedback to each other and do fun stuff outside of work.
