Description of the workplace
The Department of Occupational and Environmental Medicine is part of the Institution of Laboratory Medicine at Faculty of Medicine, Lund University. Our research contributes to identifying health risks in work and the surrounding environment, eliminate these risks, prevent ill-health and promote health. In our research is combined including medical, epidemiological, technical, analytical and field skills. The focus is on the research areas Work environment, Environmental environment, Planetary health and Lifestyle factors.

Work duties and areas of responsibility
The employment concerns work and studies for two years as a doctoral student for a licentiate degree.
We are looking for an employee who wants to participate in the research project "Co-creation for sustainable working life development within health and medical care', the purpose of which is to identify, analyse and develop measures for healthy and sustainable working life in healthcare organisations together with practitioners within ongoing intervention models. Within the project, you as a doctoral student will work with quantitative and qualitative data in a multidisciplinary group together with other researchers and in close collaboration with practitioners in the health care organisation.
A Licentiate of Medical Science comprises 120 higher education credits and these include part one course part and part one licentiate thesis. The licentiate thesis must contain at least one scientific manuscript in publishable condition written by the licentiate as first author as well as a short framework story.
Qualifications
The following assessment criteria are applied for the position: goal- and result-oriented, previous study results, ability to independence, theoretical awareness, ability to acquire supervision, analytical ability, personal maturity, flexibility, self-motivated, persistent, good cooperation skills, problem solving, good language skills to be able to communicate orally and in writing in Swedish and English, as well as the quality of previous independent work.
Great importance is placed on the ability to work independently, cooperation with others, and being able to keep dead-lines.

Research expertise is the foremost criterion for employment. The evaluation of applicants will take account of their research profile, experience and knowledge.
Eligibility
Students with basic eligibility for third-cycle studies are those who- have completed a second-cycle degree- have completed courses of at least 240 credits, of which at least 60 credits are from second-cycle courses in a relevant subject within the interdisciplinary field of medical science
or- have acquired largely equivalent knowledge in some other way, in Sweden or abroad.
The employment of doctoral students is regulated in the Swedish higher education regulation- "högskoleförordningen" (1993: 100).
Only those who are or have been admitted to PhD-studies may be appointed to doctoral studentships. When an appointment to a doctoral studentship is made, the ability of the student to benefit from PhD-studies shall primarily be taken into account.
Type of employment
Limit of tenure for 2 years on fulltime, according to HF 5 kap 7§, with start from 2024-03-01 or according to agreement.
