The position is located at the railway operations research group at the division of Transport and Roads, at the department of Technology and Society, at the Faculty of Engineering. We study railway operations and systems, with a specific focus on improving their punctuality and capacity. The group currently consists of one associate professor, two postdocs, and four doctoral students, all located in the civil engineering building in Lund. We strive for a positive work environment, with a high level of communication and supervision, joint seminars, and frequent engagement with industry. We coordinate a national center of excellence in capacity and punctuality, participate in EU-Rail, and a wide range of nationally funded research projects. You will assist in some research projects related to railway delays, punctuality, and maintenance. You will also help coordinate a major international research proposal and assist with the seeking of other external funding. The position entails frequent travel, both domestic and international, but otherwise assumes a high degree of physical presence at the office.

The position is a fixed term position for 10 months at 100 per cent of full time. Start no later than 16 September 2024.
